Best of the Region Fine Art Show and Sale Exhibit

Best of the Region Fine Art Show and Sale (BoR) and the Prince William Art Society (PWAS) Policies:

  1. Art must be available to exhibit for the duration of the show unless sold by the ARTfactory and PWAS, the organizers, sponsors and hosts of the event. Our preference is to not remove art sold until the end of the show, but the ARTfactory may sell art from the show at their discretion.
  2. We exhibit art that has not been previously exhibited at a BoR show.
  3. Art tags will be generated from the registration information submitted. Login to ARTCALL to ensure information is accurate.
    NOTE: No changes are accepted after the submission deadline – the artist must review to ensure their info is correct.
  4. All paintings and 2D artworks must be:
    1. Framed and finished
    2. Ready to hang with wire on back - NO saw-tooth hangers
    3. Labeled with artist's name and art's title on back. Available for print out is an ARTCALL back label - see your User Dashboard for each of your submitted pieces.
  5. PWAS reserves the right to hang/display pieces or place them in reserve at its discretion and hang/display pieces in locations that are deemed suitable.
  6. PWAS does not accept the shipping of art to or from the BoR show.
  7. Artwork unclaimed after thirty (30) days following Art Pick Up becomes the property of PWAS.
  8. The artist retains copyright to his/her image(s). However, accepted images become part of the PWAS archives and may be used for current/future BoR and PWAS promotion.
  9. PWAS is not responsible for theft or damage of artwork from any cause whatsoever. Artists should insure their own work.
  10. The Prince William Art Society (PWAS) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit art organization dedicated to the promotion, creation, appreciation, and exhibition of the visual fine arts in Prince William County and in Northern Virginia. PWAS hosts and administers the Best of the Region Fine Arts Show at the ARTfactory June 3-15, 2025. PWAS and the ARTfactory receive a 30% commission of the sales price of each piece sold, which helps fund the BoR as well as the PWAS Jewell Pratt Burns Art Scholarship given annually to at least one Prince County graduating high school senior art student who is pursuing a degree in art/art education. The artist receives 70% of the sale price of each piece.
  11. Registration is considered complete when the following are submitted by the registration deadline.
  • Registration form submitted through https://bestoftheregionexhibit.artcall.org
  • $35 non-refundable registration fee for Non-PWAS Current Members or BoR Sponsor Art Organization, OR
  • $25 non-refundable registration fee for current PWAS Members and Art Organizations current members that are Sponsoring BoR.
  • Digital images and required information inputted
