Jaclyn Del Vacchio

Statement

Born and raised in New York, I spent my young summers drawing among a being immersed in a community rich in tradition. I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts graduating Summa Cum Laude from Monmouth University (West Long Branch, NJ). I am an artist that resides in Gainesville, Virginia. I work in a variety of mediums with a focus is in relief printmaking.

I have a background in graphic design and over a decade of experience in early childhood education and teaching art in both private and public settings. My students' work has been exhibited in Singapore and The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.. In February 2024, the V.A.E.A. selected my student’s work as the first place winner in the elementary division for the state.

Returning to my creative roots has been incredible. I am a three time winner in the PWCLS Bookmark Contest. My work has been displayed in libraries and businesses while my plein air pieces are currently on loan at Meadowkirk. In February 2024, I had my first printmaking solo exhibit named “Correlations”.

As an artist, I seek to share the duality of both timelessness and movement in my work. Through creation, not destruction, art captures a beauty which is unbridled.
